Liz worked at Public Allies CT for five years before heading to graduate school. Public Allies CT is an incredible organization which focuses on developing young leaders within their communities to support local non profit efforts in the cities of Hartford, New Haven and Bridgeport. “Public Allies’ mission is to advance new leadership to strengthen communities, nonprofits and civic participation. Public Allies is changing the face and practice of leadership in communities across the country by demonstrating our conviction that everyone can lead, and that lasting social change results when citizens of all backgrounds step up, take responsibility, and work together.” Liz learned, gave, and gained so much from working at this organization, and both Andrew and Liz truly believe the work done here changes lives by helping young people realize their own power to change themselves and their communities in positive ways.
